JOHNSTOWN, CAMRBIA COUNTY--- A group of pro athletes will make their way to Cambria County where they will talk to students and play them in game of basketball.

It’s called Sports Power International.  Athletes travel all over the world talking to students sharing their personal to stories to inspire kids to make the right decisions in life.  This is the first time the group will be in Cambria County.

“The players speak giving personal stories; they talk about the highs, lows and how to handle success while encouraging young people,” Bill Alexson, President.

“To hear them speak and say this is where they were, this is where they fell and this is where they are now is pretty incredible,” said Karen Fugini, Chief County Detective.

Fugini worked with President Commissioner Doug Lengenfelder to bring the group to the county.

“This group has turned their lives around,” said Lengenfelder.  “They show how making good decisions can affect your life and lead to successes.”

The group will speak to students at every high school in the county.  Two students from each high school were chosen to play on the county’s all star team and they’ll play the pro’s Friday night in a basketball game.  That game will be played at the Cambria County War Memorial.  Tickets can be bought there and each high school was given tickets for parents and students.
