Murder Trial Delayed

The suspect is accused of shooting a 37-year-old over a $20 debt.
JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY – The trial of the suspect in a July 2013 murder will not go to trial in February because the suspect has a new attorney.

Lemmel Myers is accused of shooting 37-year-old Leslie Schetrompf in the leg last July and hiding in the building he lived in. Police say Myers shot Schetrompf over a $20 debt.

The bullet struck a major artery in Schetrompf’s leg, and the victim died a few days later from massive blood loss.
