Mother Helps in Son's Investigation

State Police arrest a man accused of using a gun to rob a local pharmacy.
MOUNT UNION, HUNTINGDON COUNTY - State Police arrest a man accused of using a gun to rob a local pharmacy.

The man allegedly got away with hundreds of pills. Police say cooperation amongst several agencies, putting surveillance video on the news, and the suspects own mother, led to the arrest.

Police say Todd Reeder robbed the Rite Aid in Mount Union, Huntingdon County Tuesday.

An employee says a man in a mask showed her a gun and gave her a note demanding pills. He wanted Aderall, Oxycodone, and some other specific medication.

Police released the surveillance video to see if anyone knew the man.

Meanwhile Reeder’s mother told police she found pill bottles in her car after giving him a ride. She turned the pills over to the police and they matched them to the pharmacy.

Police picked Reeder up Thursday night. He's in prison now on robbery, theft, and other charges.
