Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

A wind chill advisory is set to expire at 10 a.m. for Elk, Cameron, Clearfield, Cambria, Somerset, Northern Clinton, and Northern Centre Counties. Jefferson and Indiana Counties have their advisory set to expire at 11 a.m. for wind chills as low as -20°. There will be a mix of clouds and sunshine to start today, but another round of snow showers and flurries will arrive for the afternoon and evening with temperatures climbing into the mid 20s by the end of the day. The warming trend will peak early Monday as a front moves through, bringing more snow showers and the next round of arctic air. Tuesday and Wednesday will have high temperatures in the single digits for many locations, with sub-zero temperatures during the overnight hours. Heading toward next weekend some warmer air looks to make its return, with temperatures possibly getting above freezing by the end of the week.
