ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Police make new arrests in connection with a string of robberies in the city. And they say the legal drug Blizzard Bath Salts was involved.

Tuesday night police arrested Joshua Benz for the June 1st robbery of a taxi cab driver. Police say he admitted to robbing the man. He was later released on bail.

And Thursday afternoon police arrested Benz in connection with two other similar robberies in the city. They also arrested two women they say are his accomplices. Police say Patricia Rhodes drove the getaway car. And Jennifer Goerlach was also involved in the robberies.

Police say all three took part in robbing the taxi cab driver and Mama Randazzo's Restaurant. They say they hit the restaurant because they didn't get enough money from the driver to buy more Blizzard. Benz was also charged with a similar incident involving a Dominos delivery man. And police say all three suspects say a bath salt addiction made them do it.

All three suspects are in the Blair County Prison. Goerlach and Rhodes are being held for 150 thousand dollars each. Benz is being held for 435 thousand, including the bail that was revoked from his earlier release.
