EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Cambria County officials announced Thursday; they received more than $340,000 to help its seniors.
The money came from the state and is to be used for seniors in Cambria County.
“These dollars are to be used for services to help seniors,” said Doug Lengenfelder.
The money is being split up to go towards three separate services. That includes a rainy day fund for emergency services to help those during a winter storm with blankets and food, plus medical and handyman services.
“This is to help those who are eligible have things like a handrail installed in their showers and homes that need it so they don’t fall,” said Lengenfelder.
The check is a one time deal that is to go towards helping seniors only.
‘We want to help our seniors in every way we can,” said Lengenfelder.
