Michigan Men Arrested On Drug, Weapon Charges

The pair was initially stopped for a minor traffic violation.
PATTON TOWNSHIP, CENTRE COUNTY – Two Detroit men were arrested early Monday morning after being stopped for a traffic violation and drugs were discovered in their car.

According to State Police, 47-year-old Kevin Giles and 25-year-old Christian Parnell were stopped on Interstate 99 for a minor violation when police discovered a small amount of marijuana in plain view.

Police found an additional 1/2 pound of marijuana and drug paraphernalia when they searched the vehicle. Parnell was also found to be in possession of a loaded Glock pistol for which he did not have a permit.

Giles and Parnell are being held at the Centre County Correctional Facility after failing to post $10,000 bail.
