Meeting planned for Frankstown Road improvement project

The project will create a 4-way signaled intersection at Frankstown Road and Route 22.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY – PennDOT will hold an open house Wednesday evening to display plans for an improvement project at the intersection of Route 22 and Frankstown Road.

The project will move Route 2007 (Reservoir Road) approximately 250’ east to create a 4-way intersection with Route 22 and Frankstown Road. A traffic signal will be installed at the intersection and both Route 22 and Frankstown Road will be widened.

The project will also replace the retaining wall on Route 22 along the lower section of the Geeseytown Cemetery and realign Locke Mountain Road to tie into the realigned Reservoir Road.

PennDOT plans to maintain traffic on Route 22 and Frankstown Road with lane closures and detour traffic on Locke Mountain Road. The Route 22 and Frankstown Road intersection will be accessible throughout the project.

The meeting will take place Wednesday March 26th 7-8 p.m. at the Geeseytown Fire Hall, 215 Mary Street, Hollidaysburg.
