Man Shoots Dog, Pleads Guilty

Man faces charges ranging from animal cruelty to illegal possession of a firearm.
KARTHAUS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Barry E. Grove is pleading guilty after he shot his dog back in April.

According to police reports, Grove's neighbor heard a gunshot and soon saw Grove's dog, Anne, in distress just outside her house.

Troopers arrived to investigate but were forced to take the dog to be euthanized because of the severity of the gunshot.

Grove is charged with animal cruelty and illegal possession of a firearm due to his criminal history.

He is slated to be sentenced on October 17th.
