JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Tyrone Williams was shot and killed Sunday morning in Johnstown’s Oakhurst neighborhood; he was set to graduate the city police academy in a few weeks.

"When you're faced with an incident like that whether you know the person or not there's a job to be done you remain professional and do the best you can," said Police Chief Craig Foust.

Williams was shot at 13 times according to police.  As of Monday, there was no motive, no gun and no suspect.  Investigators are reviewing surveillance video from the housing authority.  They are also asking for the public’s help, hoping someone comes forward with information because there were supposedly a lot of people outside when the shooting happened.

“It was a warm summer night,” said Foust.  'These people are perpetrating violence on other people without any consideration of anyone else."

"We really need the help of the public,” said Kelly Callihan, Cambria County District Attorney.  “We need them to let us know what they saw in the area, and what they heard.”

Callihan said her office is working with Johnstown Detectives to catch the person who killed Williams.

“When people come forward with information we can put the case together and make an arrest,” said Callihan.

The 42- year’s old death is the third homicide to happen in the Oakhurst neighborhood in 2014.

Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-281-1680.
