Man sentenced for role in Lowmaster drug ring

Jorge Harkleroad will serve five years probation, one of which will be served by conditions of home confinement.
JOHNSTOWN – A 43-year-old Brush Valley man was sentenced Wednesday to five years probation, the first 12 months of which under home confinement, for his role in the Lowmaster drug ring.

According to a release by the Department of Justice, Jorge M. Harkleroad conspired to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 100 kilograms or more of marijuana between March 2009 and May 9, 2011.

Evidence presented in federal court during the sentencing hearing reflected him conspiring with George M. Lowmaster and others to facilitate and promote Lowmaster’s drug ring.
