Man Arrested After Threatening Trooper

The trooper had arrested the man's daughter Thursday evening.
CRESSON, CAMBRIA COUNTY – A 43-year-old man was arrested Friday morning after he threatened the Pennsylvania State Trooper who arrested his daughter the evening before.

According to State Police, a trooper arrested Michael Skelly’s daughter for Disorderly Conduct Thursday evening after throwing clothing throughout the yard of a home on the 400 block of Third Street and refusing to cease her actions.

Shortly after the trooper cleared the scene, Skelly called State Police at Ebensburg and demanded to speak with the trooper. Skelly broke into a rant with vulgar language demanding to know why his daughter had been arrested. Before ending the call, Skelly made the threat “(the trooper) better watch his ass” before hanging up.

Skelly has been charged with Harassment, and was released after posting $2,000, 10% bail.
