Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 Declared Lost

The Malaysian Prime Minister announced the flight ended in the Southern Indian Ocean in a press conference Monday.
KUALA LAMPUR, MALAYSIA – Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak announced Monday morning Malaysian Airlines Flight 370 has been lost and there are no survivors.

Families of the 239 people on the plane were called to a Beijing hotel Monday afternoon local time to hear the developments.

The news comes the same day as Australian officials announced search planes had spotted two objects in the search area.

According to Razak, the flight “ended in the Southern Indian Ocean."
