Lifestyle Changes that Prevent Diabetes

Twice as effective as medicine alone.

A new study shows there are ways to prevent or slow down diabetes. Researchers followed high risk patients for 15 years and found diet, exercise and the diabetes drug metformin were able to prevent diabetes significantly. 

The study showed that  lifestyle changes percentage-wise were twice as effective as medication alone in preventing progression to diabetes.

An estimated 79 million Americans are at high risk for developing Type 2 diabetes.
