Insurance Changes Go Into Effect

The changes will allow people to take advantages of technology and save money.
HARRISBURG, DAUPHIN COUNTY – Beginning Friday, drivers will no longer need to search for a paper card when providing proof of car insurance.

State Senator John Eichelberger (R – 30th District) wrote the legislation which allows drivers to use their smart phones for proof. The new law also eliminates the state’s requirement to have a $100 minimum deductible.

Under the change, insurance companies in Pennsylvania will now be able to offer the vanishing deductible like what is offered in other states.
