Pennsylvania ranks #22 in the nation in the health of its senior citizens. America's Health Rankings for Seniors shows the Keystone State with a large number of health care providers and only a slight shortage of geriatricians.
However, Pa has one of the highest rates of senior obesity in the country at 29.3 percent. Also, nearly 40 percent of older state residents, have several chronic conditions.
A majority of those with incomes above $75,000 a year say they're in good or excellent heath compared to a little more than a fourth of those making less than $25,000 dollars a year.
