Heavy Rain Forcing Evacuations in California

The rain is not expected to bring much relief to the state's drought.
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA – More than 1,000 homes in Southern California are under a mandatory evacuation order as heavy rain moves into the state.

Several inches of rain is expected over the weekend on some of the same hillsides burned by wildfires in January.

Mudslides and flooding are a threat. California has been experiencing an extreme drought, but the rainfall is not expected to bring much relief.
