Happy Ending in Missing Teen Story

An investigation into a pair of missing teens has a happy ending.
ALEXANDRIA, HUNTINGDON COUNTY - An investigation into a pair of missing teens has a happy ending.

Sofia Varner and Lyza Spyker went missing late Sunay night from their homes near Alexandria Huntingdon County. They took a few hundred dollars and left in a car before their families got up.

State Police in Huntingdon were tracking down leads and alleged sightings of the girls Blair, Huntingdon, and Centre Counties.

And Wednesday night around nine the girls called their parents from a coffee shop in Long Beach, California. They said they were safe and would wait there until police could pick them up. Now their parents are flying out to get them.

It’s the happy ending they were hoping for but state police are stressing the dangers of this kind of situation and the need to resolve them quickly.

Again both Lyza Spyker and Sofia Varner have been found safe and will be back with their parents soon.
