PITTSBURGH - Governor Tom Corbett toured the Carnegie Science Center in Pittsburgh today to learn the benefit of educational programs that connect science and technology with everyday life. The Science Center is an essential part of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by supporting classroom instruction with hands-on learning and real-world experiences. Educators across the region make use of the Science Center to extend learning outside the classroom, thereby allowing students to connect in-school studies to STEM careers.
