HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - A group brought a very visual call for money through our area.

The Laborers International Union of North America parked a school bus on the side Route 36 in Hollidaysburg. It simulated a crumbling bridge falling on a school bus.

Calvin Russel stopped when he saw the scene. At first he thought it was a real accident, and then he thought it was a very effective way to get their message across.

And it's a message Vince Greenland from PennDOT is glad to see is getting out there. He says federal funding is vital to the work they do and it has been dwindling over the last few years.

The Laborers International Union of North America is warning the highway funding is expected to run out in October of this year and they’re calling on everyone to contact their congressman and urge to create a new permanent highway funding bill.

The display will be in Pittsburgh and continue through out the east part of the United States.
