After fire destroyed the DuBois Country Club they found a way to still have a golf season.
DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - February 24, the DuBois Country Club was destroyed when State Police say materials inside a storage closet combusted and started a fire. It was around 2:00 in the morning and the fire burned for awhile before anyone noticed it.

It caused $2.5 million in damage, but thanks to the fire fighters, the Pro Shop was saved.

Golf Pro, Matt Steele, cleaned the shop, painted it and is working to replace the carpet and get new inventory.

As the main building is bulldozed, golfers are still welcome to hit the links. The Club opened for the season on Monday.

They say the course looks good and the construction is actually not a distraction.

They are offering special membership rates.

Plans for the re-building of the club and restaurant are still in the works.
