G8 meeting continues without Russia

The other seven nations kicked Russia out after over their move to annex Crimea.
THE HAGUE, NETHERLANDS – President Obama and other western leaders have shifted their focus to nuclear security, one day after a meeting to kick Russia out of the G8 over their actions in Crimea.

The U.S. wants to impose tougher sanctions against Vladimir Putin if he pushes further into the Ukraine.

Russia’s foreign minister met with his Ukrainian counterpart for the first time in the Netherlands Monday after snubbing him weeks ago.

An aide to British Prime Minister David Cameron confirmed the planned G8 summit in Sochi, Russia in June will not take place.

The other nations in the G8 are Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United Kingdom.
