Local “one man band” John Stiffler has been diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease called Chronic Inflammatory Demylinating Polyneuropathy (CIDP). His rapidly progressing disease requires an extremely expensive stem cell transplant.

Prior to being diagnosed, John worked as an Occupational Therapist, was an active member in his community, and a popular local musician known for his comedic approach. He now relies on leg braces and a cane for navigation. After multiple tests and unsuccessful treatments, John was accepted at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL for a costly stem cell transplant.

Unfortunately, the treatment has been denied three times by John’s insurance company. But you can help!

This Saturday, January 25 at 8:00 pm, Morris’ Tavern & Restaurant in Sidman will host a fundraiser for John and his family. Enjoy pizza, cold drinks and live music, featuring John and friends! Proceeds will help cover the cost of treatment in Chicago.

For updates on John’s condition or to make an online donation visit Post Hope.
