EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY -- A man serving two life sentences for murder wants a new trial.

Nathan Fortson previously pleaded guilty to killing Velda Malloy and Darryl Zunich in May 2006. He has filed an appeal in Cambria County Court to withdraw one of those pleas. Fortson says his court-appointed attorney forced him to accept the plea.

A Cambria County judge will hold a hearing next week and decide if Fortson will be allowed to go to trial.
