Ford recalls more than 90,000 vehicles

The recall is to address an axle problem in four models made in recent years.
DETROIT – Ford issued a recall for 92,000 vehicles Tuesday to address an axle problem in some of their models.

According to Ford, the problem can either prevent the car from starting or essentially shift the car into neutral when it’s on the road. In addition, stopped cars could roll if the parking break is not engaged.

Ford Taurus, Interceptor, Flex and Edge vehicles from the 2012-2014 model years are affected by this recall.

Ford also recalled 200 2014 Ford Fiestas for a potential gas tank leak which could cause a fire.

To date in 2014, Ford has recalled approximately 3 million vehicles. Automakers recalled more than 32 million U.S. vehicles in the first 6 months of 2014.
