BOALSBURG, CENTRE COUNTY --- It was the 4th year for this boot camp for kids at the Pennsylvania Military Museum in Boalsburg, Centre Coutny held earlier in August.
Kids got to go through some drills, and learned marching techniques.
Each platoon was headed by former and current service members.
The kids who took part had various reasons to get fit and take a look at what may be a future career path.
For Camper Jake Tanner, it was very personal. "My great grandfather was in World War II and my grandfather was in Vietnam so I want to keep it going."
Fellow Camper Cheyenne Jonas likes the comaraderie that is built here. "When I walked in they gave me a smile and everybody was cheering for me while I was cheering for them."
All the boot campers we talked with said the PT or physical training course was their favorite --- working up a sweat and getting down and dirty.
