SUMMERHILL, CAMBRIA COUNTY -- Area farmers spent Wednesday afternoon working with elected officials on issues facing agricultural industries.

Local and state leaders met in Cambria County for the annual legislative farm tour. More than a dozen farmers said the most pressing issues include the rising costs of energy and the need for property tax reform.

The Farm Bureau is urging lawmakers to tap into domestic energy sources to reduce costs.  The Bureau is also asking for more funding to help farmers meet water quality standards.
