Evening Forecast Wednesday, June 4th, 2014

After a wet night tonight, the weather will turn nice for the end of the week.

After a bright start to the day clouds started to increase this afternoon as a disturbance approached the region. This system will bring will bring rain, some of which will be heavy tonight. There also could be a few rumbles of thunder, especially in the counties along the Maryland border. Rain will depart early Thursday morning and clouds will break for some sunshine during the afternoon.  The return of sunshine will not be enough to boost temperatures much with highs in the upper 60s to the lower 70s. An area of high pressure will then settle over the region and give us beautiful weather Friday and Saturday with sunshine and temperatures reaching into the 70s to near 80 each day. Sunday will also feature some sunshine, but the next front will return the chance for thunderstorms during the afternoon. This front will bring showers and thunderstorms Monday with some drier and comfortable air settling back into the region for the middle of next week.
