Scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through this evening.
Updated: Monday evening, June 16th
Reported by: Meteorologist Steve Newton

Warm, humid air has moved in and it will be around for much of the week. A few showers and thunderstorms will move through this evening, bringing gusty winds and rumbles of thunder; but many locations will stay dry as we go through the evening. The showers and thunderstorms will taper and come to an end late tonight and early tomorrow as temperatures fall into the low and mid 60s. There will be some areas of fog during the overnight hours, mainly in locations that saw rain Monday evening. Tuesday will have the mix of sun and clouds with a few showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon with highs in the low to mid 80s. Some locations east of I-99 will make it into the upper 80s. The greatest risk for thunderstorms is looking like Wednesday, where temperatures will get into the mid and upper 80s as a cold front moves closer to us from the north and northwest. Some of the thunderstorms Wednesday could be strong and produce damaging winds. The risk for thunderstorms will continue for the second half of the week, but temperatures will move closer to 80° going toward the weekend.
