Eight Families Homeless After Fire

Eight families are homeless because of an apartment complex fire in DuBois.
DUBOIS, CLEARFIELD COUNTY - Eight families are homeless because of an apartment complex fire in DuBois.
The fires started just after noon Saturday at an apartment complex on East Park Avenue.

Eight families lived in the two story apartment complex. And it looks like most of the damage is on the second floor.
There were no major injuries. A fire fighter fell and had to be treated for a minor injury and another person was suffering from smoke inhalation.

The building owner said they were working at the complex this morning and they broke for lunch.
That's when they got the call that the building was on fire.

Some of the families that live here are now keeping warm at the DuBois Fire Hall. The Red Cross is helping them out and local restaurants are feeding them.

Fire officials say it will be some time before they know what started the fire.
