DUI suspect named Clearfield County Fugitive of the Week

District Attorney William Shaw said that Phillip Wilkinson failed to appear for his preliminary hearing May 9th.
CLEARFIELD – A 31-year-old man wanted for failing to appear at a preliminary hearing in May has been named as Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week for the week of June 9, 2014.

Phillip Wilkinson was arrested April 29th in DuBois and charged with DUI and Resisting Arrest.

An affidavit from the DuBois City Police states they were called to a domestic dispute in the area of Chestnut Street. The victim told police Wilkinson had been drinking all day and just left the scene. Police say Wilkinson was located and stopped along West Weber Avenue. Wilkinson showed signs of impairment and resisted being taken into custody.

The arresting officer reported that after Wilkinson was placed inside the patrol vehicle he began kicking the doors and bars on the windows.

After Wilkinson failed to appear at his preliminary hearing May 9th a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Wilkinson is described as a white male, 5’11” tall with brown eyes and brown hair.

Wilkinson is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
