Drug Sweep Nets More Than 20 Arrests

Five individuals remain at large.
EBENSBURG, CAMBRIA COUNTY – The Cambria County Drug Task Force worked with several law enforcement agencies to conduct a county-wide sweep Monday, arresting more than 20 low to mid-level drug dealers.

The dealers are suspected of distributing heroin, prescription pills, marijuana, crack cocaine, bath salts, and powder cocaine. As of Monday afternoon, 23 have been arrested and arraigned while five remain at large.

One search warrant yielded 164 bags of crack cocaine packaged for sale with a street value of $4,000, approximately $7,000 worth of high-grade marijuana, a small amount of heroin, and $2,500.

The 23 people arrested during the sweep were arraigned at the Central Booking Center and are being held on bonds ranging from $5,000-$50,000.
