Driver’s identity released in Thursday fatal crash

Police say the 28-year-old Patton man was thrown from the vehicle.
SUSQUEHANNA TOWNSHIP, CAMBRIA COUNTY – Police have released the name of the 28-year-old who died in a crash shortly before midnight Friday in Cambria County.

Police say Scott Lamagna of Patton was driving east on Greenwich Road at a high rate of speed around 11:50 p.m. Thursday when he lost control of the vehicle. His car went over an embankment before hitting a tree and overturned onto its roof.

According to police Lamagna was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. Lamagna died at the scene.

State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
