Domestic Violence Funds

Centers that serve victims of sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse could soon receive more money.
RIDGWAY, ELK COUNTY - Capsea is a non-profit organization that assists victims of sexual, physical and/or emotional abuse. They offer everything from counseling through housing and even go to court with some victims.

Since 2001, all across Pennsylvania, organizations like Capsea have been running on a flat line budget.

This year in his budget proposal, Gov. Tom Corbett, announced a 10% increase in funding for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape and for the domestic violence support services.

Capsea says they are crossing their fingers hoping it comes through. They say they are busier than ever.
