District Attorney to Seek Death Penalty in New Murder Trial

The State Superior Court ordered a new trial for Paul Aaron Ross in 2011.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY – The Blair County District Attorney announced he will seek the death penalty in the new trial of a Frankstown Township man for the murder of a 26-year-old a decade ago.

Paul Aaron Ross was found guilty of murder in the first degree in 2005 for the death of 26-year-old Tina Miller. After hearing details of Ross’ abusive childhood, the jury recommended a life sentence.

Ross has been serving a life sentence plus 24-48 years at SCI Mahanoy in Schuylkill County.

In 2011, the Pennsylvania Superior Court ordered a new trial, finding Ross’ attorney was not given enough time to prepare his defense.
