Delay Approved in Spanier Lawsuit

The former president is suing over comments made in the Freeh Report.
BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY – A Centre County judge has approved the delay of former Penn State President Graham Spanier’s lawsuit against Louis Freeh until after the criminal case against him is resolved.

Spanier’s attorney said the case would interfere with the ongoing criminal trial of Spanier’s role in the Jerry Sandusky scandal.

His attorney worried it would compromise her ability to use witness testimony from people like Cynthia Baldwin and Mike McQueary.

Freeh’s attorneys were hoping the judge would not delay the lawsuit.
