County Hoping To Go Digital

BLAIR COUNTY - Blair County is hoping to go digital to help with their re-assessment.
Commissioners today discussed implementing CAMA, a computer aided mass appraisal system that would eliminate all paper property cards and make them available online.
The change would be just one step in the county's re-assessment process, but one commissioners’ say could open up more opportunities.
"We have addressing data at 9-1-1, and we have parcel and property data at the assessment office and we have no way to share that information and it is critical nowadays that that information be shared," Blair County Commissioner Diane Meling says.
Commissioners estimated the cost of the system at around $97,000.
