Concealed Carry Seminar

Gun owners get chance to learn about laws.
CLEARFIELD - The number of concealed carry permits continue to rise in Pennsylvania and on Saturday one local legislator was hoping to help pass along some important information about concealed carry laws.

A few dozen people stopped by Grice Gun Shop in Clearfield Saturday to learn a little more about concealed carry laws both federally and statewide. Representative Tommy Sankey helped put on the event as a local lawyer, sheriff and NRA instructor all took questions about the process.

"It's just more important to understand when you are breaking the law because there are many gun laws both federal and state that many people are not aware of and its just important to get everyone together, because shooting is a sport here and we want to make sure everyone is following the law and is not accidentally or inadvertently breaking the law and not knowing," Rep. Tommy Sankey (R, 74th District) says.

Sankey plans to host a second seminar in a few months,

A similar seminar, hosted by Representative Matt Gabler is scheduled for next weekend in DuBois.

For more information on the seminar contact Rep. Gabler's office at 814-375-4688.
