Clearfield County communities warned to boil water

Residents were notified of a potential issue after a water main break.
CLEARFIELD, CLEARFIELD COUNTY – Residents in Clearfield Borough and Lawrence Township are under a boil water notice after a water main break Wednesday morning.

According to a release by Clearfield County Emergency Management, a water main break on Montgomery Run Road caused a loss of positive water pressure which could allow contamination to enter the distribution system. Crews are working to repair the break.

Residents are asked to boil water before drinking it or using bottled water. Clearfield County EMA states people should bring the water to a rolling boil, let it boil for one minute, and let it cool before using.
