Penn State freshman Casey Saline sold her first piece to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! when she was just a junior in high school. She sold her cassette tape portrait of Olivia Newton-John and John Travolta to the museum for $500. The piece was sent to the Ripley’s museum in Ocean City, MD. Her Whitney Houston cassette tape portrait is displayed in their London museum. Her latest work of art is a 3-D portrait of Jimi Hendrix which was just sold to Ripley’s Believe It or Not! for $200. The location of that piece is not yet known.

Casey uses a single cassette for each of her tape pieces and she includes the source cassette in each work of art. She doesn’t just do tape pieces, however, she also uses CD shards, buttons, etc.

When Casey isn’t creating her masterpieces, she’s changing lives through art with The Lilli Project.
