Bail increased in State College stabbing case

Brandon Frick is accused of stabbing another man outside a home along Foster Avenue in April.
BELLEFONTE, CENTRE COUNTY – The bail for the 21-year-old Altoona man suspected in an April stabbing has been raised after a hearing Friday.

Brandon Frick’s bail was raised from $10,000 straight to $50,000 straight after a hearing in the Court of Common Pleas.

Frick’s charges are from an incident on April 12th in State College where he and two other men got into an altercation with two victims outside a residence along Foster Avenue. Police say Frick followed the victims down the stairs and stabbed one victim in the back.

According to court documents Frick then washed the knife and hid it in a cereal box in the residence. Testimony and evidence revealed Frick had not been living at the residence he provided during his original bail hearing.

Frick also admitted on the witness stand that he lied to police when he initially told them he did not have a knife during the attack and when he later told them he did have a knife but did not use it on anyone.

Frick is charged with multiple offenses including Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault and Terroristic Threats.
