Alleged Mall Shooter Found Dead

Police investigating suspect in body armor who allegedly went on shooting spree in New Jersey mall.
NEW JERSEY - According to police a suspect who allegedly began shooting inside a Paramus, New Jersey shopping mall Monday night has been found dead inside the mall of a self inflicted gunshot wound.

The Garden State Plaza Mall went on lock-down late Monday evening as police tried to safely take all shoppers out of the mall while searching for the alleged shooter inside.

New Jersey prosecutor John Molinelli told reporters the alleged shooter is 20-year old Richard Shoop of Washington Township, New Jersey.

According to CBS News, Shoop's family told police he had a history of drug abuse.

At this time there are no reported injuries or fatalities to any shoppers or law enforcement officers.

An investigation is underway.
