JOHNSTOWN, CAMBRIA COUNTY--- Johnstown Police said it was a 16 year old boy who was shot three times early Thursday morning in Johnstown’s Oakhurst neighborhood.

“He’s lucky to be alive,” said Chief Craig Foust.

The teen was shot with a 38 caliber gun, twice in the chest and once in the arm.  According to police after being shot he walked to a ‘friends’ house where they called 9-11.  He was taken to Memorial Medical Hospital, but is not cooperating with police.

“Our detectives have tried to interview him but he will not tell them anything, even if we find out who did it he said he won’t cooperate,” said Foust.

Because the teen was staying with someone in Oakhurst homes "illegally," the housing authority has evicted those people.

This shooting comes nearly two weeks after Tyrone Williams was shot and killed one street over.  People in the neighborhood said they’ve had enough.

"It's terrible and it isn’t getting better," said Mary "Louise" Andrews.  "Oakhurst used to be a beautiful place all this stuff going on now it NEVER even happened back in them days- used to be a beautiful place to raise kids not today."

Andrews said she is disgusted with neighborhood and what has happened to it.

"We never had this problem in Oakhurst it's a shame what's going on here in Oakhurst today," said Andrews.

"The vast majority of the people who live in the housing communities want the same thing everyone else wants they want a safe place for their kids," said Foust.

Andrews said she has lived in Oakhurst for more than 40 years and if the crime doesn’t stop she is going to move.

“I've had enough of this crap,” said Andrews.
