Could Raising Minimum Wage Help Budget

The fight to raise the minimum wage got another supporter.
ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - The fight to raise the minimum wage got another supporter.

Pennsylvania's Auditor General says raising the minimum wage would help the state's budget crisis. He says by giving people more money there will be fewer people needing welfare and other social relief programs. Right now the state minimum wage is $7.25; it is the same as the federal minimum wage.

Governor Tom Corbett opposes raising it.
