Convicted Murderer Will Get New Trial

A convicted murderer will get a new trial in Blair County.
HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY - A convicted murderer will get a new trial in Blair County.

The State Supreme Court says Paul Aaron Ross deserves a new trial because his defense didn't have enough time to prepare for the first trial and the prosecution brought up testimony they shouldn't have at the trial.

Ross was convicted in 2006 of raping, torturing, and killing Tina Miller at Canoe Creek State Park.

Ross' defense attorney said that no matter what people think of his client, he still has constitutional rights and the prosecution has to play by the rules.

The District Attorney plans to go for the death penalty if they convict Ross again.
