Convicted Murderer Joseph Paul Franklin Executed

U.S. Supreme Court on Wednesday vacates two stays of execution for convicted murderer Joseph Paul Franklin, according to CNN.
UPDATE: Convicted serial killer Joseph Paul Franklin has been executed, that's according to Missouri corrections officers who spoke with KMOV, a Missouri TV station.

WASHINGTON - A U.S. Federal Appeals Court lifted a stay of execution clearing the way for a racist serial who admitted to murdering two people in Central Pennsylvania, to be executed.

The 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Joseph Paul Franklin can be put to death by lethal injection according to CNN.

This happens just hours after another lower court stopped the execution after attorneys argued lethal injection isn't humane.

Franklin is blamed for 22 killings between 1977 and 1980 in a bid to start a race war.

He claims responsibility for the death of a black man and his white teenage girlfriend on the Washington Street bridge in Johnstown.

Franklin is also known as the man who shot Hustler Magazine publisher Larry Flynt.
