Businessman Concerned Over Sinkholes

Two sinkholes have opened near a local business.
SNYDER TOWNSHIP, BLAIR COUNTY – A Blair County businessman is concerned about a pair of sinkholes which have opened up near his property.

Both are near Dan Sprankles Auto Outlet on Old Route 220. A gas pipe is visible at the bottom of one of the 5-foot-deep holes.

Sprankle says PennDOT, the gas company, and the township have all come to investigate the sinkholes, but no one is doing anything and he is worries someone could get hurt.

“It’s somebody’s responsibility and I hope they can come to the conclusion who wants to take care of their problem,” said Dan Sprankle.

The second sinkhole is across the street from his business.
