Blood Drive in Memory of Local Farmer

He received 15 transfusions in 20 months.

Wayne Sollenberger led a busy life as a dairy farmer in Martinsburg, Blair County, before he developed anemia after complications from heart surgery. For 20 months as he fought to recover, he had 15 blood transfusions. Now a little more than a year after his death, his family is helping to promote a Red Cross blood drive in his memory.
It takes place Monday January 20th from noon to 6pm at the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church. To schedule an appointment for this blood drive or any other American Red Crioss blood drive, call 1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org.
