“Blood at the Root” is a play based on true events.  It follows six Louisiana High School Students as they navigate their way through various social and racial biases, and it will soon be taking the stage at a local high school.

The play was written especially for a cast of Penn State Graduate Actors by Rising-Star and New York Playwright Dominique Morisseau.  The cast will perform the piece for high school students, who will then talk about it in class, and then re-group for a series of workshops with the class.

Click “play” to watch a scene from the production, or attend their Benefit Performance, which is open to the public, later this week.  You can watch the production free of charge, but they are asking for donations to help support an upcoming tour of the show.
