Bellefonte Principal Fired

The Bellefonte School District fired the elementary school principal Tuesday night for complaints about her performance.
The principal of Bellefonte elementary school since 1998, was fired with a unanimous vote of the school board Tuesday night.
Elaine Cutler was suspended without pay at the end of June when she received an unsatisfactory job evaluation.
The superintendent outlined more than 60 reasons Cutler should be fired, including incompetence, negligence in performance and failure to follow state school laws.
Cutler's attorney tells WTAJ News she plans to appeal the decision to the State Department of Education within 30 days. She says the school board did not consider Cutler's side of the story and that is a basis for appeal.
